Maria Antoniade is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and registered of the General Health System. Maria worked for six months as a Clinical Psychologist at “Agios Kyprianos, Psychology Center for Children and Parents”. She represents the Association of Psychologists of Cyprus in the Cyprus Film Classification Council. In the past, she worked as an External Associate at the ACTHealthy Lab (Research Programs/ Projects: “Psychological Science Accelerator Covid-Rapid (PSACR)”, “Stay on Track”, “iCARE study International COVID-19 Awareness and Responses Evaluation Study” and “PRICE, Delphi study” and as a Research Assistant at the Center of Applied Neuroscience of the University of Cyprus (Research Programs: ReaDI-STANCE (“Reading Difficulties Intervention: Scientific, Technological, and new community efforts” and “Longitudinal Analysis of Learning Disabilities, Attention child, and Behaviour, 5 -7 years: A Multifactorial Developmental Approach’.

In 2022, trained on the Psychometric Tool, “The WISC-V (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children – Fifth Edition”) has been completed.) In 2022, continued with her education  on “Emotion Focused Therapy (Level 1) and ” Advanced Empathy & Relational Processes ” with Dr. Robert Elliot at the Cyprus Institute for Emotion Focused Therapy. Maria has recently completed trainings on Psychometric Tools such as: “Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-5 Disorders (SCID-5-CV)”, “Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-5 Personality Disorders (SCID-5-PD)”, ” SAEVA – Achenbach System for Empirically Based Preschool Assessment”.

Maria graduated from Oxford Brookes University (BSc Psychology and MSc Human Resource Management). She graduated from the European University of Cyprus (MSc in Clinical Psychology). During her second master’s degree, Maria participated in the Association of Psychologists of Cyprus representing the students (2019-2023) and she was part of the Organizing Committee of the Conference held in Cyprus of the Federation of Psychology Students (EFPSA). During her internship as a Clinical Psychologist she worked at the “Hope for Children CRC Center,” “Polydynamo of Limassol Saint John”,  “Athalassa Psychiatry” and “Psychiatric Clinic at the Nicosia General Hospital”.
