Developing an mHealth app to collect Ecologically Momentary Assessment (EMA) data in research and in routine care (Momentous)
Description
Momentous is a collaborative platform where interested stakeholders including researchers, clinicians, students etc. can approach the team and use the mHealth app to collect real-time ecological data. Here is a list of examples:
- A hospital or clinic that wishes to continuously monitor patients’ pain using self-report and physiological assessments.
- A researcher that wishes to collect EMA data on physical activity data of participants at home.
The team can provide collaborators with
- Access to a user-friendly admin webpage to tailor the assessment to their specific needs, choose from pre-existing questionnaires and create new ones.
- Instructions to help participants and/or patients to download the Momentous app on their smartphones.
- Smart watches that can simultaneously collect physiological data such as skin conductance, heart rate and movement data.
Momentous is rigorously tested and available for both Android and IoS users. The app is handled by the BSiH Lab at CUT and offer full support in collaborative research projects.
We are happy to discuss and provide more information on how we can support you, join your grant proposal or sign an agreement to provide services to your hospital, clinic or health centre. Please email us at angelos.kassianos@cut.ac.cy
