Developing a Country-Observatory for Sharing Best Practices for Vaccination Promotion
(Co-OPERATOR)
Description
There’s a significant disparity in how European stakeholders address vaccination hesitancy and execute COVID-19 vaccination campaigns. The co-OPERATOR project strives to tackle this issue by focusing on monitoring population hesitancy and enhancing the communication skills of healthcare professionals. The project is co-funded by the EU4Health programme [Project Number: 101133251] and runs from 2023 until 2026. The key objectives are to:
Knowledge Sharing
Establish cross-country initiatives to facilitate knowledge-sharing, addressing the variability in vaccine coverage observed during and beyond the COVID-19 pandemic.
Evidence-Based Strategies
Utilize research findings to advance stakeholders’ abilities in designing and promoting successful vaccination programmes, recognizing the complexity of vaccination hesitancy.
Consortium Expertise
Leverage the consortium’s extensive research and policymaking experience and an interdisciplinary approach bridging fields such as public health, psychology, and epidemiology with technological innovations.
