Dr. Maria Kyprianidou

Dr. Maria Kyprianidou graduated with a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Patras, specializing in Statistics. Subsequently, she completed an MSc in Biostatistics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and in 2021, she earned her PhD in Environmental and Public Health with a specialization in Biostatistics from the Cyprus University of Technology. Her doctoral dissertation focused on examining the prevalence of multimorbidity in Cyprus and its correlation with the Mediterranean Diet and Quality of sleep in a sample of over 1000 Cypriot adults. She also works as a Special Scientist at the European University Cyprus, where she teaches diverse undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Research Methods, Biostatistics, and Quantitative Research Approaches within the Department of Life and Health Sciences. Additionally, she serves as a Special Scientist at the University of Cyprus, instructing political analysis and methodology in the Department of Social and Political Sciences. Past roles include the position of a Postdoctoral Researcher in the MEDISKIN project at the Cyprus University of Technology and as a Biostatistician in the SAFEST project at the Department of Psychology of the University of Cyprus, focusing on mapping populations and monitoring social network and vaccination-related data. Additionally, her research interests involve attitudes and beliefs about vaccination. She has advanced skills in conducting statistical analyses using STATA and R softwares. 

Maria is the project manager for the co-OPERATOR project.
