Theodoros Solomou
Theodoros Solomou is a Software Developer and Researcher, holding a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s in data science, both from the University of Cyprus. He is currently advancing his academic journey with a PhD in Computer Science, focusing on a project titled “A National Mobile eHealth Framework for Information Access and Retrieval, Intervention, and Online Coaching”. The aim of his study is to create a centralized hub, offering a patient-centric approach in users managing their health data and the system to give personalised suggestions and interventions. In his professional role at the University of Cyprus, Theodoros serves as a Special Scientist, where he leverages his profound expertise in Digital Health. His work primarily revolves around creating innovative systems aimed at enhancing patient wellbeing. Notable projects include developing a Virtual Reality system for managing cancer patients’ pain, creating immersive experiences for dementia patients to connect with the outside world, designing an educational application for caregivers on safe transfer techniques, and developing a mobile application for efficient patient information management and sharing. Apart from his professional pursuits, Theodoros harbors a passion for video games, indulging in this hobby during his leisure time as a means of relaxation and creativity.
