Marianna Koutsantoni
Marianna Koutsantoni joined the Behavioral Science in Health Lab of the Cyprus University of Technology’s Department of Nursing, working there as a Research Associate on the Erasmus+ project “GreenTouch: EcoMind Development for Higher Education Future” and the EU4Health project “Developing a Sustained European Initiative for Monitoring and Sharing Practices in Psychosocial Oncology Care Provision.” Formerly, she worked as a Researcher at the University of Cyprus’ Centre for Field Studies, conducting various telephone opinion surveys. One of these was a public opinion survey of a representative sample of residents in the Republic of Cyprus to examine satisfaction levels with the Public Health Services of the Ministry of Health.
Marianna Koutsantoni was a Youth Ambassador for the European Code Against Cancer in Cyprus under the auspices of the Association of European Cancer Leagues. In addition to promoting cancer prevention, she carried out research projects assessing the impact of the Youth Ambassadors for the European Code Against Cancer program and identifying cancer prevention areas that required further action. She has also co‐authored journal articles and chapters in edited books addressing topics such as body image satisfaction, health‐related quality of life in cancer patients, eating behavior across generations, and the prevalence of eating disorders in Europe.
Marianna Koutsantoni holds a Master’s degree in Health Psychology from the University of Surrey and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Cyprus.
Between 2024 and 2026, Marianna worked as a Research Associate on the GreenTouch project and the DESIPOC project. Since June 2026, Marianna has taken the role of the BSiH Lab Manager overseeing the lab activities and ensuring the lab is smootlhy operated.
