We are delighted to introduce our new intern, Elif Buyukbayrak.
Elif is currently a final-year Bachelor of Science in Psychology student at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) Cyprus. Her interests lie in behavioural, clinical, and cognitive psychology, as well as mental health and psychological wellbeing.
In addition to her studies, Elif has gained valuable experience working with children in educational and community settings. As an Early Childhood Workshop Leader in Poland, she designed and delivered interactive workshops introducing preschool children to different countries, traditions, and cultural characteristics, fostering early global awareness, social understanding, creativity, and cognitive development. Previously, she completed an internship at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nairobi, where she organised events and workshops for children of the Polish diaspora. She also volunteered with the Joanna Radziwił Foundation Opiekuńcze Skrzydła in Poland, conducting educational workshops and supporting activities for children.
Elif is currently completing a placement with clinical populations, further developing her understanding of psychological practice and clinical settings.
At the Behavioral Science in Health (BSiH) Lab, Elif will support the RELIEF project, bringing her enthusiasm for psychological research, analytical thinking, and evidence-based approaches to health and wellbeing.
We welcome Elif to the team and wish her every success during her time at the BSiH Lab.
