The project partners met on the 11th of July at the premises of Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) in Limassol to kick off the ALTHEA CY project!
ALTHEA CY is an Excellence Hub project funded by the Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation. The project aims to improve the health of women after childbirth by promoting breastfeeding, physical activity, and smoking abstinence through the power of social connectedness. By combining cutting-edge digital tools and social network analysis, ALTHEA will explore how health beliefs and behaviours spread among mothers and their communities. Through co-designed innovation and evidence-based methods, the project will help shape smarter, more supportive postpartum care in Cyprus and beyond.
The project is coordinated by CUT with 3AHealth Ltd and Birth Forward Cyprus participating in the consortium and leading the technical and dissemination activities respectively. Our website and dedicated social media will be launced soon so stay in touch!
