Dr. Athina Manoli
(PhD, CPsychol, FHEA)
Athina has an academic background in Psychology, with a BSc (Hons) from the University of Leicester, an MSc in Clinical Psychology, and a PhD from the University of Southampton. Her research spans a range of topics in cognitive and experimental psychology, including a more in-depth focus on the cognitive, emotional, and social factors in mental health disorders such as Anxiety, ADHD, and Bipolar Disorder. Â Her approach integrates the use of eye-tracking methodology along with other behavioural experimental methods. Athina has worked as a postdoctoral research associate at the Open University of Cyprus. Since 2020, she has been an honorary research fellow at Queen Mary University of London, UK. In addition to her research work, Athina completed a PGCert in Teaching and Learning. She is a Fellow of Advance Higher Education (FHEA) and a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
Athina is working as a researcher in the eCREST Cyprus project and also her postdoctoral project Un-Bias investigating attentional biases in illness anxiety and which is funded through the CUT METADIDAKTOR fellowship programme.
