Greta Wozniak

Dr med. Greta Wozniak MD., has received her PhD in Neurosciences at University of Thessaly, School of Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, during the period of 1999 -2003.

– Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the Molecular Medicine took from Faculty of Medicine, University of Thessaly Larissa, Greece during the period of 2004 – 2009, at the same time she was Research Fellow at Department of Radiology – Medical Imaging at University Hospital of Larissa, Greece.

– Assistant Professor of Neurophysiology & Therapeutic Pharmacology (Former), Medical School,  at the University of Cyprus, Nicosia, Cyprus.

Currently, she is Academic Staff at the University of Cyprus, Nicosia, Cyprus.

She has successfully completed her Administrative responsibilities as Head of Basic Medical Laboratory Sector at Applied University of Thessaly, Greece from 2008- 2012 and also she was Supervisor, Scientific Responsible and Member of Committee for the generation of post-graduate MSc thesis within the Master program Primary Health Care. Medical School, University of Thessaly, Larissa, Greece. Since 2009/ 2013. Her research has included neuronal function between dorsal and ventral hippocampus: membrane properties, excitatory and inhibitory synaptic transmission.

She has a strong track record in neurophysiology of neurons communication mechanisms. She has authored more than 60 research articles, some chapters and books. She is a member of International Brain Research Organization (I.B.R.O.), Hellenic Society for Neurosciences (HSN), European Brain and Behaviour Society (E.B.B.S.), Greek Organization of Emergency Pre-Hospital Care (Ε.Ε.Ε.Π.Φ), European Neuroscience Association (FENS – Federation of European Neuroscience Societies).
