Maria Krini

Maria Krini, is a PhD student at the Lab and a dedicated project manager and researcher with Hellenic nationality, who brings a wealth of experience in managing and coordinating EU projects, especially in the health and education sectors, undertaking responsibilities covering the whole project cycle from the project initiation to completion.

Leveraging her multilingual capabilities in Greek, English, and French, Maria has held pivotal roles in various organizations, including the Cyprus Associations Cancer Patients and Friends (PASYKAF) and Pancyprian Antileukemia Association “ZOE”. With a master’s degree in Adult Education and ongoing PhD studies in nursing, she has expertly navigated through project management, research, and policy development at both national and European levels.

More specifically, with her extensive experience in European research, adult training and innovation policy, she leads PASYKAF activities within the EU, oversight and coordinating working groups covering a wide variety of research and innovation topics such as carrying out research activities in managing projects and developing network policy activities. Additionally, Maria is responsible for patients’ education as she is a dedicated patient advocate and has knowledge in health care legislation and provincial regulations. 

Moreover, Maria is highly experienced in performing EU project assessments evaluating youth training programs for the Youth Board of Cyprus and adult training programs on behalf of the Foundation for the Management of European Lifelong Learning Programmes, while she is a member of the Steering Committee of the European Cancer Leagues (ECL) Access to Medicines Task Force and represents PASYKAF in the European Fair Pricing Network.

Maria’s robust career, spanning over two decades, has been marked by her strategic leadership, policy advocacy, and adept management of projects from inception to completion.

Maria Krini is doing her PhD with Dr Angelos Kassianos on cancer healthcare professionals’ acceptance of technology in cancer care.
