Dr Maria Loizou is a Clinical Psychologist with experience in applied research and evidence-based interventions. With a background in Health Psychology, she is interested in supporting individuals with chronic health conditions, with a particular focus on cancer care. As part of her clinical practicum while a PhD student at the University of Cyprus, she provided psychological support to cancer patients and their caregivers at the local oncology center, working across both the day care unit and inpatient department.

At the BSiH Lab, she currently serves as Project Manager of the EU4Health-funded project DESIPOC, overseeing its coordination and implementation.
