Welcome new intern Panagiota Mastrosavvaki

We are excited to welcome Panagiota Mastrosavvaki as the newest intern of the Behavioral Science in Health – BSiH Lab at the Department of Nursing of Cyprus University of Technology!

Panagiota Mastrosavvaki is a PhD Student in Psychology at the University of Cyprus, specializing in Social and Developmental Psychology and Gender Studies. She conducts her doctoral research within the Developmental Psychology Lab, examining the effectiveness of empathy-building and game-based learning interventions in reducing school bullying and challenging traditional gender role perceptions in primary education, using a mixed-methods design.

She has research experience in qualitative and mixed-methods studies across health and developmental psychology. Her work in health psychology includes contributions to a systematic review on perceptions of viruses and public health campaigns, participation in a digital health project supporting women with metastatic breast cancer, and involvement in a study on maternal satisfaction and perceived quality of care during pregnancy and childbirth in public hospitals in Cyprus. She has also collaborated on several national and European research projects related to mental health, well-being, and resilience.

As a Qualitative Research Intern , Panagiota contributes to the Desipoc project, funded by the #EU4Health programme. Through this position, she aims to further advance her expertise in applied health psychology research and support the development of inclusive, patient-centered practices within psychosocial oncology across European healthcare contexts.
