We are pleased to welcome Katerina Hadjipieri to the BSiH Lab as our newest intern, where she will be contributing to the Greentouch project.
Katerina brings a strong interdisciplinary academic background, having studied Mathematics, Philosophy, and Data Science. She holds a BSc from King’s College London and an MSc from the University of Groningen, combining analytical rigor with a deep interest in complex societal challenges.
During her studies, she completed a traineeship at the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission within the Disease Prevention Unit. In this role, she contributed to the European Cancer Information System, working closely with cancer registries across Europe to estimate key indicators of cancer burden, including incidence, mortality, prevalence, and survival.
Currently based in Brussels, Katerina is involved in EU-commissioned research projects, including large-scale multinational surveys such as multiple waves of the Eurobarometer, alongside other public health initiatives. Her work reflects a strong commitment to understanding how biomedical, psychological, and social factors interact to shape health outcomes.
At BSiH Lab, Katerina will support the Greentouch project, bringing her interdisciplinary perspective and research experience to help advance our work at piloting our educational tools for promoting nature connectedness amond University students.
We are excited to have Katerina on board and look forward to her contributions to the team.
