BSiH Lab joined European Immunization Week 2026: spotlight on vaccination communication and co‑OPERATOR podcast

26th May 2026

During European Immunization Week 2026 in April, the Behavioural Sciences in Health (BSiH) Lab proudly highlighted its work on vaccination communication and public trust, in line with the EU’s efforts to prevent diseases and protect lives. The European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) showcased several EU‑funded initiatives that support immunisation and vaccine uptake, including projects that strengthen evidence‑based communication and behavioural insights across Member States.

Within this context, the co‑OPERATOR project is reaching its final chapter and sharing its first results. Co‑OPERATOR has focused on building capacity for dialogue‑based communication on vaccination, supporting health professionals, educators and community stakeholders to engage in meaningful conversations with people who are uncertain or hesitant about vaccines.

To mark this milestone, co‑OPERATOR has also released its final podcast episode, hosted by Dr Angelos Kassianos. The episode brings together project and lab collaborators Dr Ourania Kolokotroni, Dr. Nicos Middleton and Ms. Pola Proestou for an open discussion on:

  • Key findings and emerging insights from co‑OPERATOR

  • The training programme developed to strengthen vaccination communication skills

  • Highlights and reflections from the final conference

  • Challenges, lessons learned, and what lies ahead for vaccination communication after the project ends

The podcast offers a space for reflection and knowledge sharing for professionals, researchers and stakeholders interested in health communication, vaccination and trust‑building through dialogue.
