BSiH at EuroEpi 2026: Vaccination Behaviour, Preconception Health, and a Strong Showing from CUT Nursing

13th September 2026

The 70th SSM Conference and European Congress of Epidemiology took place on 9–11 September 2026 at Queen Mary University of London, with a strong showing from the BSiH Lab and colleagues from the CUT Department of Nursing.

Dr. Angelos Kassianos delivered an oral presentation on “Changing Minds about COVID-19 Vaccination: A Multi-Country Longitudinal Analysis of the Intention–Behaviour Gap and Its Psychological Determinants” a study of 771 adults across five European countries examining the psychological drivers behind vaccination decisions during the 2021 rollout.

A poster on the PrePARE for Life study led by Dr. Ourania Kolokotroni and co-authored with Dr. Kassianos, Prof. Nicos Middleton, and Prof. Andrie Panayiotou presented new findings on health behaviour clustering and social patterning among university students in Cyprus, a project the lab collaborates on.

Also attending and contributing were Christiana Nikolaou and Nikoletta Nikolaou from the CUT Department of Nursing, a reflection of the department’s growing presence in European epidemiological research.
