BSiH Lab at European Researchers’ Night 2026

29th September 2026

On Friday 25 September 2026, the Behavioral Science in Health (BSiH) Lab took part once again in European Researchers’ Night, held at the Cyprus State Fair in Nicosia. This year’s event was especially meaningful, as it celebrated 20 years of science, research, innovation and inspiration in Cyprus with the Research and Innovation Foundation.

At Booth 25, our team invited visitors of all ages to explore vaping and how to prevent it. Through interactive activities and games, we talked about vaping and e-cigarettes, busted common myths, and shared evidence-based information in an engaging, hands-on way.

Visitors could:

  • Play our myths-and-facts computer game, testing what they know about vaping and discovering what’s true and what’s not.
  • Spin the wheel to find out which substances vaping products contain, where else these substances are found, and what risks they may pose to our health.
  • Take the Kyprolexo One-Minute Challenge for a fun test against the clock.

The exploration continued beyond the booth. At 10:30 in the Pavilion A Amphitheatre, Dr Athina Manoli gave a talk titled “Vaping: Myths and Misinformation”, examining what we really know about vaping and how to separate evidence from myths and misinformation.

The event was also a great opportunity for visitors to learn more about the BSiH Lab, our research projects and our work on health behaviour, and to meet our team in person. We would like to thank everyone who stopped by our booth, played with us and shared their questions and ideas, as well as the Research and Innovation Foundation for organising such an inspiring celebration of research in Cyprus.

See you next year!
