On the occasion of World Cancer Day (4 February), our lab team Dr Veronica Hadgipanagi participated in a school visit supported by the Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation, engaging students in an open and informative discussion about cancer.
During the session, we discussed the importance of prevention, highlighted the diverse professionals and initiatives dedicated to cancer care and research, and presented the goals of the DESIPOC project, to which our lab proudly contributes. It was inspiring to witness the students’ curiosity and engagement — empowering young people with knowledge is an essential step toward a healthier future.
