On 10th of December 2025, BSiH lab members Dr Maria Loizou and Dr Veronica Hadjipanayi represented the DESIPOC project at a Joint Stakeholder Forum hosted by the European Cancer Organisation, alongside the ALTHEA Project.
The forum brought together researchers, clinicians, and key stakeholders to explore how digital innovation can strengthen mental health support in cancer care.
Forum highlights:
- Dr Maria Loizou led a session on supporting people with lived experience of cancer, focusing on trust-building and digital mental health tools.
- Dr Veronica Hadjipanayi co-facilitated a discussion on empowering healthcare professionals through the integration of digital mental health screening into clinical practice.
The conversations underscored how trust, targeted training, and technology are essential to shaping more compassionate and effective cancer care pathways.
